Carrington Health Center (CHC) is one of the finest and most up-to-date rural health care facilities in North Dakota. It is owned by Catholic Health Initiatives of Denver, CO, a national Catholic health organization.
The Carrington Health Center boasts a new 25-bed acute care facility featuring all private rooms with baths, laboratory, radiology, surgery, trauma, and emergency room, and other support services including a very unique gift shop. Hospice and Bereavement Services are also available at Carrington Health Center. Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide sensitivity and support for people in the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice care seeks to enable patients to carry on an alert, pain free life and to manage symptoms so that their last days may be spent with dignity and quality at home or in a home like setting. Hospice services are available to persons who can no longer benefit from curative treatment, the typical hospice patient has a life expectancy of six months or less. Most receive care at home. Services are provided by a team of trained professionals including physicians, nurses, counselors, therapists, aides and volunteers-who provide medical care and support services not only to the patient but to the entire family. The patient, family members, friends, clergy or health professionals can make referrals to hospice.

Foster County Medical Center is a rural health clinic, with three Family Practice Physicians, three Physician Assistants. One of our physicians practice obstetrics. More than 20 consulting specialists see patients in our clinic on a regular basis; CT scanning and ultrasound are available in-house, as well as a nuclear diagnostic testing. Holy Family Villa, basic care facility, opened March 6th, 2000 (previously known as Carrington Health Center-Long Term Care.) Holy Family Villa completed remodeling several private rooms in September 2002. The Villa, in association with Carrington Health Center and the Foster County Medical Center, offers retirement living and healthcare services all under one roof. As a Basic Care facility, the Villa respects ones choices and promotes the integrity of an individual in a compassionate and caring environment.
