As a native of Kenmare, North Dakota, Renee was raised on a farm. She chose to move to Carrington because her husband is from here and she wanted to move to a community with plenty of farmland to keep her horses. She has been in Carrington for four years. She enjoys the central location of Carrington because it allows here to travel to any of North Dakota's major cities when the need arises.

Carrington is a progressive small town where you always know what your kids are involved in. Unlike many small communities, there are a lot of young people here, and enough higher paying jobs to satisfy the need.
