Having learned of the Dairy Queen coming up for sale in his wife's hometown, Dan jumped on the opportunity to purchase the business in fulfillment of his dream to become a business owner. He and his wife are in the industry together as she manages the Dairy Queen in New Rockford. They had previously lived in Mandan, and didn't need to make many adjustments coming to a smaller community.
